The accommodation worked well for us - a group of ladies who wanted their own rooms and good sized communal space for relaxing and having meals together.
Tony was most flexible and helpful with a couple of requests we had.
We are all happy to come again as local restaurants, Tenterden and nearby sights worth visiting. Thanks Tony from Jane and the other members of the book group.

What a fantastic venue - it was everything we needed for our family weekend away.
The house was fully stocked with everything we needed and Tony was an amazing host. He was available when we needed him and went the extra mile with treats and a birthday cake.
Thank you Tony

We had a big family gathering at Tony's house. It fit the whole extended family comfortably and we had a lovely time. We played cricket and football on the big field next to the house on one side, and had big cook outs on the other side of the house. It was clean and spacious with good amenities.Overall a great experience and will definitely think about returning in future!

This house is ideal for big family gatherings. It is spacious, clean and very well-equipped. We felt at home straight away and had a fantastic three days celebrating birthdays, relaxing with one another and playing game after game. The grounds are perfect for cricket and rounders! Tony was a superb host and we would love to come back again one day.

The modern farmhouse was a perfect place for my family to celebrate my 80th birthday weekend. The house was impeccably clean, had everything we needed and the kitchen was very well equipped. The extras such as hand wash and shower gels were unexpected.
The children enjoyed the selection of garden games and especially the table football. Tony was a wonderful host who had even left a birthday cake and beautiful flowers for me. We really appreciated being able to stay after the check out time.
The weather was good enough for the 14 of us to eat outside on very comfortable garden chairs for most meals. The gas BBQ worked really well.
We had a pleasant walk through the countryside to High Halden and a short drive into the pretty village of Tenterden, but we spent much of the time playing in the spacious garden.
Tony was an attentive host who, having greeted us and showed us round, then left us with the assurance that we could contact him if we had any problems. He really was a Superhost!

Twelve of us have just had a wonderful stay at Tony's beautiful property. It was in beautiful surroundings, with spacious, clean and very well equipped accommodation. Tony was responsive from the very start to my enquiries and was generous with check in/ out times which we all appreciated. But what really stood out were the thoughtful extra touches such as fresh flowers toiletries and a cake for our birthdays. The three fridges were a bonus for our celebrations too. It was lovely to meet Tony who was friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay at his property again.

This is a really great find!! There were 17 of us for a birthday, the place is gorgeous (actually looks better than the pics!). We enjoyed using the BBQ and playing rounders in the HUGE garden. I would thoroughly recommend a stay with a big group - it’s also very well stocked so perfect if you’re cooking big meals. No complaints at all and would stay again. Tony is very helpful and has a great communication. We went to Bewl water to a inflatable water obstacle course - it’s 30 min drive and would recommend if you’re around! Thanks Tony for a great place!

We had a fabulous time, plenty of grounds for the children to roam around and for the adults to do a treasure hunt, if the grass hadn't been so soggy, I'm sure we would have spent more time outside, but there's been soooo much rain!
Inside, we couldn't have asked for more. Plenty of crockery, loads of fridge space (three fridges), lots of hiding places (for hide and seek with the children), the table football was very competitive. Tony left us flowers and chocolates which was a lovely touch.
The only downside, the kettle was slow to boil!! Lol
We had a fantastic time and hopefully will return.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Tony’s. We were a group of 7 adults and 6 children from 3 different family units. The house was very clean and had all the amenities you need. We used the BBQ on two days of our stay as we were lucky with the weather. The kids brought their bikes and were very happy riding around the driveway for hours. The dining table would have easily fit us all but we found it better to have to kids sitting to the small room off the kitchen. The rooms were very spacious and the beds were comfy. The bed linen was also of a good quality as were the towels. There were a number of fridges which was super helpful. Also a dishwasher and washing machine if we needed it. The outdoor space was well maintained and there were plenty of chairs and tables. The house is very close to tenterden town which has nice shops and restaurants if you need them. We ordered fish and chips in from the local - TN30, highly recommended! Overall we loved our stay and will likely be back

I don’t even know where to begin! Tony’s place was one of the best places I have ever stayed at. He was brilliant at communication from the start, and was incredibly kind and helpful. He was so flexible, and has such a beautiful home - it’s even better than the photos trust me! I have nothing bad to say about Tony’s place. I celebrated my birthday here with my friends, he brought me a cake which was so kind and supplied the house with many goodies for us on arrival - including body wash and hand soup! Everything was spotless, with some great features including a coffee machine and a stunning open plan kitchen. Perfect for cooking. The space was perfect for us - there was 11 of us after all! The views are absolutely stunning and not to far of a car journey away from local stores including a big Tesco.
He was kind and checked in on us and made sure was getting on well. He’s on hand and helpful with anything you might need. 10/10 would recommend this to everyone!!! Thank you Tony!

Tony is a great host and we appreciated his knowledge of the local area, providing us with details of local pubs, restaurants and caterers. A lovely house for a long awaited family reunion. The welcome was warm, friendly and helpful. Plenty of space for 17 of us (including 2 babies, a lively 2 year old and 4 older children) The use of the apartment was a great addition in organising a quiet space for older guests. The outside areas were much appreciated for running round space for the children.

We had a really great time. Many thanks to Tony who helped ensure we had everything we needed. Some nice walks directly from the house. Very comfortable and spacious, and we could even sit down together to eat - 15 of us - which was great! Some things were missing (due to the house being pared down to reduce Covid risks) but Tony brought over anything we asked for, such as tea pots, straight away. We would be very happy to stay here again :)

This is a lovely house. And it's attached to a big garden, so it's ideal for kids. Tony was extremely friendly and helpful. When I asked about a coffee machine, it turned out the property didn't have one, and he went out to buy a new one. We felt there were several things - easily fixable - missing from the house that one would expect it to have, but we've mentioned this to Tony and I'm sure he'll sort them out.

Lots of information provided on local things to do. Vast variety of family based games. Cupboards were already stocked on arrival. Lovely size rooms, there were 15 of us and we did not feel crowded. Very comfortable and homely. Owner gave great advise and customer service and was on call for any other questions. We visited Leeds castle on the way down, went through Rye, onto Camber sands and Dover cliffs :)

We had a wonderful week with 14 persons of 3 generations, celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. We all enjoyed the place, following the law 'when the kids have pleasure, the parents have'. The spacious lawns were a fantastic and safe place to run and play. And the few hours the weather was too cold, boxes full of toys were a challenge to discover. In the house, we found ample room for everybody. In short, we made the right choice for our party!

We stayed here as a big family group of 14 and fitted into the house well. The rooms are a nice size and there is enough space for everyone. A little dissapointed with the 'twin room' with a double bed as the two single beds were air beds either side of the double, not the best to sleep on for a whole week. Having said that, the girls slept well on them. There is a lot of things to do in the area to keep all members of the family happy. We visited Camber Sands, Whitstable, Ashford shopping centre, Tankerton Steam Railway, Wingham Zoo and drove round lots of beautiful country lanes. Overall, an enjoyable holiday.

We loved the open space around the farmhouse which was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The sheer joy of watching the rabbits going about their business. Kent offers many lovely places to visit all within easy reach of the farmhouse. We enjoyed Tenterden, the Aspinall Centre, the Hythe and Dimchurch railway our favourite day out. Tony was excellent to deal with from booking through to the end of our stay. In summary, We were very happy with our choice of accommodation.

What can we say except a very big thank you to Tony and his staff for making our family gathering just perfect. We have a large family and we all gathered together from around the world to celebrate our daughter's wedding. From the moment we enquired about the property to the day we left Tony could not have been more helpful.
The house is spacious, well appointed, spotlessly clean and the small touches that make a rental house a home were so very much appreciated by us all.
We particularly liked: the well-equipped kitchen and dining areas, the welcome pack (including the chocolate cake and champagne!), the children's toys, the bathrooms fully supplied with soap and loo paper, the house book with instructions for things to do and places to visit, the maps, the beautiful grounds, the pond and the ducks, the peace and quiet - and the way Tony went out of his way to make sure that our very large gathering of bridesmaids, best men, ushers and relatives all had comfortable accomodation and a thoroughly enjoyable week for our daughter's wedding.
And the sun shone too - we are sure that Tony made that happen!
Best rental ever!

We cannot rate this rental highly enough. We stayed for our daughter's wedding with our family reuniting from four continents. Tony could not have been more helpful - and the accommodation exceeded our expectations in every respect. It was immaculately clean, the welcome pack was outstanding and the owner did absolutely everything he could possibly have done to make sure that our family (ranging in age from 16 months to 83 years old) were comfortable and well-catered for. Every small detail was thought of - and Tony went out of his way to provide us with information about the area. The house was comfortable - and just about everythingwas provided - from games for the children to a very well-equipped kitchen, the barbeque and beautiful grounds. The area is just outstanding with excellent attractions (from stately homes, beautiful gardens t the Michael Aspinall Centre andt hel Romney Marshes and Rye) right on our door step. Thank you, Tony for contrivuting to our daughter's wonderful Kent wedding - and the sun shone too on the 29th June. We very much hope we will return again to this wonderful Garden of Kent and to enjoy your hospitality and beautiful home

We have a family gathering every summer but finding somewhere with 6+ bedrooms and enough bathrooms isn't easy. We stayed here last year and because it is fairly close to London for 3 of our sons (and our very pregnant daughter in law) to travel we decided to stay again this year. There were 12 of us including 2 little boys who had an absolute ball in the vast grounds, chasing (and trying to feed!!) the rabbits and peacocks. Tony, the owner, was on hand for arrival and couldn't have been more helpful; the accomodation itself was ideal - 6 doubles and a single bedroom, plus 4 bathrooms.
The property is fairly isolated in fantastic grounds but less than 3 miles from lovely Tenterden, and Ashford station is less than 10 miles away for people coming by train. There are some lovely walks in the area.
A great place for a family holiday.

This has been our second stay at this well maintained and equipped holiday home. Very often a returning visit is not as good as the first time, but this was certainly not the case this instance.
As with our first visit, we were personally greeted on arrival by the owner. The large selection of toys games, books and videos has increased and as last time, they kept our grandchildren amused throughout the week.
We would certainly recommend this house to our friends and family or anybody who was looking for a large reasonably priced holiday home.

What can I say?! Just got back from an amazing trip to Tony's house. We were two families of five and one family of three and the house was easily big enough for us all. I would say the best thing about this property, is the huge grounds that the house is situated in. Plenty of space for the kids to run around and enjoy themselves without getting into any trouble or danger.
Because of this, the adults had a really relaxing time without worrying about the kids at all. Tony has equipped the house very well with plenty of things for the children such as a huge paddling pool, lots of footballs and plenty of DVDs should the weather let you down.
We looked at several properties in Kent as we wanted somewhere local and easy to get to for us. Plus we find that Kent prices are often cheaper than Cornwall and Devon prices!
Although the house was really secluded, Tenterden is a cute small town only 2 miles away. There are plenty of amenities here such as pubs, restaurants, supermarkets and a lovely children's park.
If you really like traditional old-fashioned English village pubs though, please try the Bull at Bethersden which is only around 3 miles away. It has a nice garden for the kids to run around in, and the food is out of this world!
Camber Sands is only a short drive away too, so if the kids need to let off some more steam by the sea, this is a nice trip.
I would recommend Tony's property to anybody who has children, or large groups of adults too. There is nothing not to like about Tony's house, and the customer service we experienced was second to none.
We'll be back! Thanks a million Tony!

Tony was fantastic from the first time we had a phone conversation about the weekend. He couldn't have been more flexible about the numbers staying - we were between 14-16 and all fitted in comfortably! We were there for a friend's hen do, and his ideas on what we could were really appreciated. I'd highly recommend this house to anyone wanting to bring together friends and family for a fun weekend. It was especially child friendly (not that we brought any) - with safety locks in the kitchen etc.

I have never stayed in a rented property that was so well equipped, all ages from 7 months to 90 years was catered for. All beds and bedding were first class,( thank you so much for the extra beds,) as was all other linen, and the kitchen was so well equipped you had certainly thought of everything. It's been a few days since our really memorable stay at Wood View. After scouring various sites for just the right place, it seems that everything came together perfectly in Wood View.
Given that you can make it door to door from central London in under an hour, it's incredible how the scenery changes. We made full use of the accommodation, enjoying a kick about/touch rugby and badminton in the grounds. We'd highly recommend the following:
- Shoot the Boss, local leisure/activity centre where we hired out a great volleyball court and 5-a-side pitch. It also has paint balling and pitch and put.
- Wander down to the Chequers Inn at High Halden, they do pizzas and it's a real local pub with some great ales, darts and a pool table, spot on.
- The Raj of Kent, we had a simply brilliant curry from here, wish they delivered to London!
The experience was complete by Tony, who went above and beyond to accomodate a group as large as ours. His contact was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Tony has built something really quite amazing and we felt fortunate to have spent a weekend there. We all went our separate ways, some back over to the other side of the world, but we'd love to reconvene there someday.
Can't recommend this place highly enough.

The house was clean, well maintained and quite frankly massive. If the size wasn't enough, there were huge grounds which we put to great use with the toys provided (badminton, football, rounders, table football and loads of other things in the pile under the stairs that we made frequent and often use of).
Basically the house had everything we needed - washing machine, tumble dryer, double oven, dishwasher (my favourite!) in the big kitchen and a vast TV in the lounge. Three of the seven bedrooms were onsuite with a whirlpool bath in the master.
All in all we had great fun, with my friends saying they wanted to come back next year and do the same thing again.

Ideally positioned for visits to the coast or historic towns was a further plus. Everybody enjoyed their stay and were all sorry to leave, Thank you Tony we can thoroughly recommend this property. We had been looking for a location for a family celebration and needed a property with at least 6 bedrooms. We were delighted to find the farmhouse in High Halden - but nothing like as delighted as we were when we arrived. The house is set on it's own in beautiful open grounds in the most superb part of rural Kent.
The accommodation is both flexible and of the highest standard. We accommodated our whole family - children and grandchildren - and enjoyed the most relaxing and comfortable extended weekend.
The owners have provided a real home from home, with games (both indoor and outdoor) for children and the grown up's. The bedrooms - 3 with en suite, and the others all well served by the family sized bathroom - were all comfortable with king and super king sized beds.
We catered for a party of 13 and the kitchen proved to be easy to work in and thoroughly well equipped. A 6 course celebration meal was prepared and served with no problems at all. Dining this number was also easy and comfortable.
The property was spotless when we arrived and the welcome included wine, beer and cider- local strawberries picked the very day and all the basics you would need.
We shared the garden with rabbits, peacocks and peahens, the water birds in the pond, and the woodpeckers in the nearby woods.
The owner, Tony, was very welcoming and so relaxed about the property that we were immediately able to start enjoying the weekend with out any worries.
I cannot recommend the property enough. We will certainly return for a family gathering and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Kent country side.

My 60th Birthday Celebration
Review Submitted: April 12, 2012 Date of Stay: April 2012
To celebrate my 60th birthday, I rented Marlborough House for a 5 day break and all my family were able to come. There were 10 adults and two small grandchildren and the house was comfortably large enough to cope with these numbers. We all had a fabulous stay and were impressed with the cleanliness and size of all the rooms - especially the lounge. There was plenty of space surrounding the house to explore and the array of wildlife made for interesting viewing - with six peacocks strutting around on the day of departure. It is literally in the middle of nowhere so ideal to have a chilled break. The Raja Indian restaurant is close by and the takeaway we had on the first night was of the highest quality. The owner made us feel very welcome on arrival and the provision of a welcome pack of wine, cheese, butter and cleaning equipment was excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending friends and family to stay here but would suggest Sat Nav as absolutely essential to assist in your stay.

We had lots of activities planned for the weekend and this was the ideal venue - plenty of space for everyone and excellent amenities. If you are planning a weekend away with the girls then I would definitely recommend this house.
If anything I would say that the description and photos on the website don't do the house justice as it was much bigger than I expected and really is a lovely house - lots of big spacious rooms and plenty of bathrooms! The reception areas are big and there's plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. The house was very clean and well-heated.
Tony (the owner) is very nice and accommodating and made us feel at ease as soon as we arrived. He gave lots of good advice and had even stocked the fridge and provided treats for us!
This house would also be ideal for families as there is so much outdoor space - it's just a shame that the weather wasn't good enough for us to enjoy it!
I would definitely recommend this house to family and friends and hope to have the chance to come back another day.

Great UK short-break getaway location

We've just had a fantastic weekend away; our family stayed here with one other family and we couldn't fault it. It exceeded all of our expectations and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again. There are lots of great indoor and outdoor toys for kids, open garden with other enclosed nearby fields available for use. House is well equipped, comfortable and child-safe. The kitchen cupboards were well stocked with essentials and there was a welcome unexpected surprise much to the liking of the kids when we arrived. The owner was highly responsive and communicative when we booked and we found him to be warm, helpful and available on site if you need him. There was so much to keep us all happy that we didn't venture off-site to find entertainment anywhere else. Everything was perfectly clean and well organised. The only problem I can foresee is that it will become more popular and less available for us to stay again in the future!

A delightful property in which to relax and chill out. Beautiful surroundings and plenty of walks and fresh air. You feel miles from anywhere and yet can be at a town, pub or attraction within minutes.
The property is fully equipped and was in good order with even a welcome pack provided.
We were made to feel very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

What a lovely house! There were ten of us and we had plenty of space and large enough rooms so that we could all be together if we wanted to.
Bedrooms were comfortable and well equipped and the kitchen was just right.
We went for a wintry walk in the surrounding area which was quiet and very pretty.
Would highly recommend this for large groups looking for a quiet getaway.

With 17 of us gathering for an annual get together it can be tricky finding suitable accommodation but thankfully we found this great house. The owner made it all really easy and was very accommodating, and left lots of useful things to make our stay more enjoyable. A fabulous large lounge was a great place to relax in and plenty of space for us all and the kids, who also thoroughly enjoyed the incredible oustide space too, running freely. The owner even kindly fenced up an area for the little ones who wanted to go outside, which made it easy with not worrying about the ponds.
I would recommend this house to any large groups or even small ones who just like a lot of space - great!

we really enjoyed our stay . Of course the wonderfull weather helped a lot, as we now could benefit from the wide area around the house. Our youngsters played a lot of soccer, while we took a couple of hikes in the surrounding area.
The location is excellent for daytrips to London, Canterbury and/or Rye.
The house has enough space to accomodate our group of 14 people and it was well equiped both in the kitchen as in the livingroom.

My Wife and myself were looking for a large house to rent for a long weekend, which could accommodate our large family. We came across this property purely by accident and from the description, it was just what we were looking for. However the house exceeded our expectations and was very well equipped with every thing we could have wanted.
We were personally greeted on arrival by the owner, who took the time to show us around the house and all the facilities provided. These included a large number of toys and games, which kept our grandchildren amused all weekend.
The description and photographs provided were very accurate. Communications with the owner, along with the directions to the house were excellent.
There was ample parking space right outside the house for all of our family’s cars, which meant unloading our personal luggage was easy.
A well maintained and equipped holiday home. We would certainly recommend this house to our friends and family or anybody who was looking for a large reasonably priced holiday home.
